I'm alone at work today. My boss, like me, has parents visiting her this week so she took this morning off. It's only fair because she let me off early Wednesday afternoon to spend time with my dad and Christie who were here for two days. They are on their way to Boston to spend the weekend with my sister who turns 25 on Sunday. She's so old! On Wednesday they saw my new apartment for the first time and approved. We also saw Fantastic Four which I didn't think was that great, but my dad seemed to like it. Last night we went to a Pirates game. We had excellent seats behind home plates. And even more importantly, the Pirates who have been in a very rough losing streak lately finally pulled together some offense and won 8-1. They got five runs in the first inning! It was amazing to watch and I was glad I was there to be part of it. Dad and Christie were not familiar with the Pirates--my dad continues to be a Phillies fan, but I kept explaining who everyone was and they helped me cheer them on. My dad was also in awe of the ballpark, which I have to agree is pretty spectacular. All in all, a pleasant couple of days for the middle of the week.

I am still reading Harry Potter although I should most likely finish today. Since I have nothing else to do this morning I can read as much as I want, though I know I will be sad when it's over. At least two more years til the next one!

You say "continues to be a Phillies fan" like it's a bad thing!

I didn't mean it like that! I meant he continues to be a Phillies fan even thought he lives in North Carolina. I should have specified this. I meant no offense. Rock on, Phillies!

Continuing to be a Phillies fan isn't a bad thing, but it is cray-cray like the wolf.
